To make eBay the ultimate destination for pre-loved fashion, we helped the ultimate fashion icon open his own eBay store.

While the popularity of thrifting and pre-owned fashion has skyrocketed, eBay isn’t at the top of most shoppers list when buying or selling. To get secondhand shoppers to give the platform a second look, we enlisted fashion legend Elton John to open up shop on eBay and sell thousands of items from his own mind-blowing closet. For the first time, fans around the world can own a piece of fashion history - from Gucci jackets and Versace robes to customized Prada loafers and vintage concert tees.

Results: Rocket Man Resale generated 80+ pieces of coverage resulting in more than 3 Billion earned media impressions, with stories in CNN, Rolling Stone, Variety, The Guardian, WWD, US Weekly, Vogue, and more.

These Gucci “suck me” loafers were up for sale - they fetched $4,150.
