20 Years of SB Dunk on eBay

Celebrating the iconic skate shoe by reminding people why they were created in the first place.

Nike SB Dunks were created in 2002 by skateboards for one purpose - skating. But over the years, SB Dunks became so valuable, people started locking them away in boxes instead of skating them. To mark the 20th anniversary of this sought after style, eBay and Nike teamed up to show the world what the shoes were designed to do.

We created the first sneaker box you can skate on and auctioned off 10 exclusive boxes to benefit the Bodecker Foundation. To prove you could skate it, we invited top Nike SB skaters P Rod, Eric Koston and Elissa Steamer to put it to the test.

Next, we opened the Skate ‘Em Out Store in Portland, Oregon, offering covetable SB Dunks from the past 20 years at the incredible 2002 price of $65 if and only if skaters laced them up and skated out of the store.
